David BourneVicar

Rev David Bourne

David joined the ministry team at St. Mary's in July 2005. Previously David was Vicar of All Saints, Riseley in North Bedfordshire. He has two grown-up children, Fiona and Hugh. He is chair of the Careforce council and a council member of Fellowship of Word and Spirit. David enjoys in no particular order; history, films, France, teaching the Bible, food and wine, and cricket.


John BrookCurate

Rev John Brook

John arrived in Hailsham in the summer of 2006 having trained at Oak Hill Theological College in north London. Previous to Oak Hill John was a northerner, living in places as far-flung as Manchester and Hull. John is married to Meg and they have a son called Daniel. John's pastimes include walking, reading, cinema, Linux, and he has been known to partake in a bit of five-a-side.


Pastoral Care Assistant

Michael Partridge

Hailsham born and bred, Michael was a teacher until early retirement brought him to join the ministry team. His main role is in visiting the housebound, those who are unable to attend church due to age, disability or illness. He also visits those in rest/nursing homes on behalf of the church, and visits the Eastbourne hospitals weekly.

Michael Partridge

In addition to his responsibilities as Pastoral Care Assistant, Michael Partridge has been for many years a Licensed Diocesan Reader for our parish.

Michael Tanner

Michael Tanner was licensed in 2001 and is involved with regular preaching and leading responsibilities. He is also our PCC Secretary, Bishop's Certificate tutor to the Dallington Deanery and Reader Secretary for the Lewes and Hastings Archdeaconry.

 

Churchwardens

Roger is Vicar's Warden, with responsibilities for finance; Terry is People's Warden, dealing with matters of the Church fabric, they work closely together as a team.
